의지력 = Will Power:



  “당신은 의지력이라곤 없어요” 하고 아내가 잔소리를 했습니다.

  “어디 허풍씨를 보라구요.”

  “술을 끊더니 담배도 끊었잖아요!”



  “그만 해!” 하고 남편은 버럭 소리를 질렀다.

  “누가 의지력이 강한가 어디 보여 줄 깨.”

  “이재부터는 방도 따로 침대도 따로야.”



  이렇게 몇 주가 지난 어느 날 밤 남편 침실 문을 누군가가 얌전하게 노크했습니다.

  “누구야!”

  “나예요” 아내는 상냥하게 말 한다.

  “허풍씨가 다시 담배를 피우기 시작 했기에 알려 드릴려구요.”



“You’ve got no will power” nagged wife.

“Now look at Hagarty.”

“He’s stopped drinking and he’s stopped smoking!”



“Enough of that!” roared husband.

“I’ll show you who has will power.”

“From now it is separate rooms and separate beds.”



This arrangement lasted for several weeks until one night there was a soft tap on his bedroom door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s me” said wife gently.

“I just wanted to tell you that Hagarty has started smoking again.”
